Peg Barringer oversees economic development work for FinePoint Associates. Ms. Barringer has conducted economic and financial analysis, market research, training and other services for government agencies, financial institutions, real estate developers and community-based organization in over 100 communities. She specializes in economic development and has expertise in program design, implementation and evaluation. Over the last 25 years, she has consulted on a wide range of project types including: commercial real estate development, downtown/business and microenterprise development, arts/cultural based economic development initiatives, and a large array of customized research and analysis projects. She often assists public and nonprofit clients to analyze their community economics and develop strategies, which will expand local business, generate employment opportunities and create new enterprises. Over the last 5 years, she has provided consulting assistance to 14 Boston Main Street Organizations and conducted market studies and other services to more than a dozen Downtowns both within and outside Massachusetts.
Ms. Barringer has extensive experience in curriculum design and has provided training to more than 3,000 participants. For the last 16 years she has taught in the Graduate Program of Urban Policy and Planning at Tufts University and has guest-lectured at several institutions.
